The continuity of the concept ensures that the overall external aesthetics merge with the landscape in a way that is interesting without being disruptive. This is extended throughout not only the building design, but also the details of the surrounding areas including the lighting imbedded in the ground that mirror the stratus clouds often seen floating above.

The subtle curves throughout the concept create a calming feeling of fluidity that embrace the natural attributes of the surrounding landscape. From a functional perspective, the façade has been designed to ensure natural light is able to filter into the building throughout the day regardless of the season. The positioning of the tiers allows the optimal amount of sunlight to naturally flow through the space while also limiting any obstruction to the view of the surrounding landscape.

It should be noted the emphasis on natural light in this design goes beyond the façade. ThirstyArchitects took into account the benefits of natural light to health and productivity especially with regards to its effects on mood, alertness and even metabolism.

According to a study from Northwestern Medicine and the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign, it was found that employees who sat within 20-25 feet (6-7.6 meters) of windows reported better scores on quality of life measures related to physical problems as well as vitality and they were also found to have better quality sleep at night than those who sat farther away.

By conceptualizing a space that makes a conscious effort to ensure that nearly all work spaces within the building are no more than 4 meters away from a window, the effects of natural light on the overall health, wellness and productivity of the people using the space are optimized.
